Azmi was born in Singapore on May 1977.
Having developed an interest in photography eversince he found his dad's old film camera (minolta) when he was 10 years old, he began developing his skills and understanding photography through experiential learning and self-reading.
His first ever photography assignment was a typical event photography during his school days in Ngee Ann Polytechnic, covering outdoor adventure events & performances. The first ever paid assignment was an event coverage over 3 days in 2000.
Going through National Service and pursuing a career in the SAF, Azmi felt the sense of passion, commitment, dedication and sacrifice displayed through his men, commanders and himself. He began to capture those moments to show their family and friends their side of the story during their service to the nation. Much appreciated were the moments captured that he uses it to inspire and motivate his men and himself during their tough trainings during their tour of duty. Producing montages, Inspirational Posters, Videos and Photo Books.
Azmi began to look into sharing the importance of capturing those once in a lifetime moments, like weddings. Having much regretted himself for not engaging a professional photographer to capture his own wedding solemnization, he began to include his services to share his talents in capturing those moments for other soon to be married couples.
His personal experiences in life has inspired and motivated him to capture life moments. Moments that will put a smile on the face, moments that tells you a story, moments that convey that special feeling or thought to the viewer. Having that strong feeling of purpose now that he had gone full-time as a professional photographer and thus leaving his career in the military on July 2009.
Ultimately, he inspires to tell his friends and family that life is short so live your best, treasure what you have and return a kind act to the world...
He aims to Make A Difference in his lifetime...by "Re-Living The Experience Of The Captured Moments" he sees through his eyes.
